Rooted Bible · McNair Media · updated 2026-08-22
Rooted Bible has no accounts and collects no personal data. There is exactly one piece of data we ever hold, and only if you asked for notifications: a notification token that identifies your device so we can tell it a new playlist has been published.
That deletes the token from our records and from your device at once. Nothing is kept, and there is no retention period — the record is removed, not marked inactive. The same steps work in the web app at rooted.mcnairmedia.net/app.
Uninstalling stops notifications, and the record is removed automatically the first time a notification cannot be delivered to it. If you would like it removed sooner, email us at erik@mcnairmedia.com and we will delete it on request.
Deleted: the notification token, immediately, by either route above.
Never collected in the first place: your name, email, reading position, playlists, searches, highlights, or anything you ask the app. All of that lives on your device only, and uninstalling the app removes it with the app.
Server logs: ordinary web-server logs (IP address, requested file, timestamp) exist transiently for operating the service, as with any website. They are not linked to a notification token or used to identify anyone, and they age out within 30 days.
